Who this is for

This is coach training for professionals who already work with clients.

  • You want to stay employed in the AI era
  • You want to know your unique human coaching “signature” that no robot can replicate
  • You want practical somatic tools you can use in real sessions
  • You want to know how to use AI as a coach/facilitator without losing your soul!
  • You want the up-to-date neuroscience on what makes that special “human touch” you can actually use

If you’re unsure, email support@embodimentunlimited.com. We’d rather you join the right thing than force a sale.

However, this may not be a fit if you want therapy training, you want a certificate without practice, or you only want a self-paced library.

What you might be missing (even if you’re good)

Common failure modes. Not moral failings. Just the bits people don’t train.

Course preview image
  • You’re doing “good questions” while the client is stressed and scattered
  • You’re chasing insight when the real issue is state
  • You’re being “nice” when the moment needs a clean challenge
  • You’re relying on rapport instead of actually tracking what’s happening
  • You end sessions with a plan the person won’t do under real-world pressure

Coaching in the AI era

AI will make coaching MUCH cheaper and more readily available. It’s also better than you might think. People are already using it as a coach that’s available 24/7, nearly free of charge.

Frankly it will put a lot of us out of work, or at least change what we can offer. But it’s not human, and that's our edge... IF we lean into that and work in the right way.

Some reasons people still want human coaches are:

  • The coach’s embodied presence
  • Real human relationships can be faked but not substituted
  • Attunement and calibration - using intuition to "tune in" and respond to what's alive in real time
  • Actual accountability (if you can challenge people)
  • About five other things we’ve identified speaking with dozens of top coaches and AI experts.

This course identifies and grows the “human” side of coaching. We’ll do this in a practical way with somatic coaching tools, simple models, and enjoyable practice.

Human superpowers & concrete tools

These are the parts of coaching that stay valuable when AI makes advice cheap.

  • Presence - staying there when things get messy
  • State - shifting out of stress so thinking and choice come back online
  • Attunement - reading the room, tracking subtle cues, adjusting in real time
  • Intuition - pattern recognition built from experience, not guesses
  • Humour - using lightness to create perspective, loosen rigidity, and move people forward

The concrete tools you can use immediately.

  • Centring in a dysregulated world - quick ways to stabilise yourself and the room
  • Humour in coaching - when it helps, when it backfires, and how to use it cleanly
  • The Serenity technique - a practical method for clarity and follow-through under pressure
  • Neuroscience, made usable - how to apply neuroscience knowledge practically in real human coaching (without jargon or overclaiming)

These are a mix of 20 years’ experience and brand new tools - our most up-to-date work, designed in light of rapidly changing technology.

What you’ll be able to do after

You’ll leave with practical skills you can use with clients immediately:

  • Explain your human value clearly and persuasively
  • Identify when clients are dysregulated and use simple co-regulation skills in a real relationship (robots can't do this!)
  • Use embodied practices to create deep insight fast
  • Bring neuroscience in practically to deepen human connection
  • Make practical adaptations for neurodivergent clients without diagnosing
  • How to best use very human skills like humour, real warmth and actual accountability

The point is not ‘more knowledge’ - it’s deepening your wonderfully unique human coaching signature. Yes, you’ll learn some up-to-date neuroscience and some new techniques, but we’ll also go deeply into what makes human coaches irreplaceable.

Using AI skilfully

We’re not anti-AI. We just recommend using it well WITH what makes you human.

We’ll cover practical ways to use AI well:

  • A beginner-friendly set of use cases for coaches and facilitators
  • Tightening session plans and prompts
  • Generating options and experiments
  • Creating worksheets and simple resources
  • Supporting client practice between sessions

Then we bring it back to the human edge: embodied presence, connection, calibration and relationship.

If you’ve done courses with us before

Good - this isn't repeated but is additional.

This is not a foundational course and it’s not designed for people who’ve never coached.

It’s aimed at people who already have a coaching, therapy, or facilitation background who want to sharpen the human side of the work for the AI era.

What’s new here
  • New techniques - including brand new tools developed for this programme
  • New understandings - updated framing for coaching in a fast-changing world
  • More practical integration - less “interesting ideas”, more “what do you do in the session”
  • More calibration and reps - because that’s how skill actually improves

After a 25-year career as a doctor within the National Health Service, Helen retired as a consultant psychiatrist due to health challenges in 2017.

She initially found herself floundering with illness, pain and fatigue, and not much clarity about how to help herself. That set her on a practical path into holistic wellbeing and resilience.

Having practised yoga on and off since the age of 16, Helen completed her teacher training and an array of other courses, including Spiritual Coaching with Caroline Shola Arewa and Embodiment Coaching with Embodiment Unlimited.

Helen’s yoga training was completed with Yoga Alliance International directly with Swami Vidyanand, and also with YogaCourse and YogaRenew. She deepened her training by working with Kristine Weber of Subtle Yoga from around 2018.

A lifelong learner, Helen has continued to train widely. Since retiring, she has channelled her focus into yoga, embodiment, education, and practical resilience tools. She particularly likes working with people with persistent health issues, pain and fatigue, and also supports people with stress, overwhelm and burnout (often the same people). She offers a blend of yoga, meditation, education, and embodiment exploration practices designed to promote steadiness and resilience.

FAQ

Is this therapy training?
No. This is professional education for coaching and facilitation in work and life contexts. It focuses on practical skills: communication, decision-making, influence, and follow-through, using clear language and consent-based practices. The neuroscience content is informational and applied to coaching choices, not clinical explanation. We do not teach diagnosis, treatment, or therapy methods. If a conversation moves outside normal coaching scope, the appropriate response is to re-contract, stabilise the work, and signpost suitable support.
Do I need to attend live?
Live is recommended. Recordings are available if you miss a session or want to watch again.
What if I miss a session?
It happens. You’ll have the recording so you can catch up. Live is still recommended because this is a skills course, not just content.
Do I need CEC first?
No. This is recommended for trained coaches and facilitators (or those in training). CEC is not required.
Will I get feedback on my coaching?
Yes, in the way that actually improves skill: through practice, observation, and calibration. Expect feedback through guided practice in sessions and through peer practice (and the inevitable “oh, I see what I’m doing” moments that come from being witnessed).
Do I need to use AI tools for this course?
No. This course is about the human side of coaching. We’ll cover some practical ways AI can support your work if you want that, but you do not need to be technical.
How much time does it take?
About 3-4 hours per week (live + practice + peer groups, with optional pre-recorded learning).
How long do I keep access?
Recordings remain available while the programme exists. We do not promise lifetime access.
Is there a certificate?
Yes - a certificate of completion, based on participation and practice. No heavy bureaucracy.
Can my employer pay - do you provide an invoice?
Yes. If you need an invoice or purchase details for your employer, email support@embodimentunlimited.com and we’ll help.
What is somatic coaching?
Somatic coaching means working with what’s happening in the body as well as the mind - attention, physiology, stress responses, and behaviour in real time. It’s about practical state and behaviour change, not diagnosis or treatment.
