Embodiment Coaching Essentials is a live 9-week training for coaches, facilitators and therapists who want simple, pragmatic embodiment coaching tools they can actually use.
Live online, starting May 5
4 core techniques
Practical and accessible
We all know that talk is cheap.
Clients chat. Reflect. Say smart things. But when pressure hits, old habits kick in – they go straight back to the same old patterns. That’s where embodied tools can help.
A lot of coaches sense that the body matters. They may be curious about embodiment/ somatic coaching, or body-based tools. They just don’t yet know how to bring any of it into sessions in a way that feels safe, and practical.
Fair enough.
We offer in-depth certifications (maybe you’ve heard of “CEC”?) but not everyone wants to jump straight into a full-on training.
Sometimes the right next step is smaller, simpler and easier. Something practical that lets you try the work out, and learn some useful techniques. A useful taster. That is what this course is.
Embodiment Coaching Essentials is a 9-week live training where you learn a set of useful tools, practise them, and get a feel for what embodiment can add to coaching.
You won’t learn everything of course in this timeframe, but it’s a great start. (If you do decide to go further with us by the way, we’ll give you the cost of this course off our larger certification).
This course is a genuinely useful first step for people who want to know whether somatic coaching is for them. It’s also for experienced practitioners who just want to try our style or grab a few tools.
A lot of clients already know what they should do.
They know they need boundaries.
They know they need confidence.
They know they need self-care.
But they keep repeating the same old loop. In daily life, old patterns still take over.
That is where embodiment becomes useful.
As coaches we can help clients pay attention to what is happening in the body, breath, posture, tension and the way someone organises themselves when the pressure is on.
That gives you more to work with than just the story.
In this course, we focus on a few simple tools that help people:
The point is not to make coaching more theatrical. It is to give you more to work with when talk has done all it can.
This goes beyond “body awareness” into how people learn, relate, act and change. That usually makes coaching more practical. Often more effective, too.
This course is built around four core tools rather than a giant blur of theory that you forget a week later.
You will learn how to help clients notice an embodied pattern while it is happening, and make new choices.
This is both a technique, and the fundamental principle of embodied work.
You will learn a practical centring method for those moments when someone is scattered, over-activated, under pressure, or simply not quite there. It also helps clarify coaching goals quickly.
It’s not magic, but it is a simple way to open up a bit more conscious choice.
You will work with two simple posture-based tools from the Embodied Toolkit – self-care and no pose.
These make patterns more visible and give clients a practical way to explore things like boundaries, confidence, support, and self-care without disappearing into abstraction.
You will learn how to turn what happens in a session into short, usable between-session practices clients can apply in real life.
This helps people make change stick outside the coaching conversation and is really practical.
By the end of two months you’ll have:
The point of this course is not to “qualify you in everything”, drown you in theory or hand you fifty ideas you never use. It’s to learn a few practical tools properly. Sound good?
This course runs live every Tuesday for 9 weeks.
That’s long enough to get a real feel for the work, but short enough not to take over your life.
The rhythm is simple:
One week you learn a tool.
The next week you practise it.
Then you build from there.
That matters because embodiment is not something you learn by nodding along to a good explanation.
You learn it by trying it. Repeating it. Getting feedback. Seeing where you get hesitant, clunky, over-clever, or vague. Then getting better.
One live session per week, plus light reflection and practice between sessions.
Week 1 – Ethics & principles: What we are doing, what we are not doing, and how to use this kind of work.
Week 2 – Awareness and Choice: How to help clients notice a pattern while it is happening.
Week 3 – Awareness practice: Coaching reps, feedback, timing, and a better feel for using the awareness work.
Week 4 – Centring: Practical centring for when someone is scattered, activated or not really there.
Week 5 – Centring practice: Using centring in live coaching situations with more confidence and less faffing about.
Week 6 – Toolkit poses: Two posture-based tools to make patterns more visible and more workable.
Week 7 – Toolkit practice: Fine-tune your use of the poses to embody them yourself and lead your clients.
Week 8 – Micro-practices for clients: Adapt the techniques to make more accessible and usable for clients.
Week 9 – Practices and Integration: Setting practices, when to use what, and exploring further training.
Embodiment Coaching Essentials is for people who want a practical first step into this work.
It is especially good for:
But it’s probably not for you if you want therapy training, a full-length certification (CEC may be a better fit), something fully self-paced, or personal healing support rather than coach-facing skills.
Embodiment Coaching Essentials is a practical first step into embodiment coaching.
There are no complex admin hoops to jump through, it doesn’t last forever and it’s content you can actually use!
This course is for people who want to try working with embodiment coaching techniques properly before jumping into something bigger.
You learn a few useful coaching tools, practise them live, and get a real feel for whether this way of working is actually for you.
If you already know you want the full thing – more tools, more depth, more supervised practice, trauma education, assessment, certification, fine. You might like CEC.
But if you are interested and not there yet, this course stands on its own as a practical way in.
And if you do decide to join CEC within 6 months of finishing, we will credit 100% of what you paid for this course toward your CEC place. That means this ends up being free.
So you can start smaller, see if you actually use the work, and roll it forward if you want more. It’s win-win.

No.
It is a live introductory training.
Useful, practical, real – but not certification.
Attend the sessions or watch the replays, do the practice, and if by the end you do not feel you have learned practical embodiment tools you can use in coaching, we’ll refund you.
This is not a guarantee of client results. It is a guarantee that the training will give you usable tools.
No drama.
No.
This is coach-facing training, not therapy training.
You will learn simple embodiment tools you can use in sessions. You will not be trained as a therapist.
Yes. There is an instalment option at checkout.
No.
But it is best suited to people who already coach, facilitate, work with people in some way, or are considering moving in that direction.
Replays are available if you miss a session.
Live attendance is best because you’ll practise with others, but life happens.
No.
CEC (our Certification of Embodiment Coaching) is the fuller training, with more depth, more tools, more practice, trauma education, standards, assessment, and certification.
This is the smaller first step.
If you join CEC within 6 months of finishing, we will credit 100% of what you paid for Embodiment Coaching Essentials toward your CEC place.
There is one live session each week.
Some weeks are more teaching-led, some more practice-led.
You will also want a bit of reflection and, ideally, some use of the tools between sessions.
There are also some optional self-paced videos if you want to deepen your learning and practice.
It sits in that territory, yes. Some people would call these somatic coaching tools.
We use the broader frame of embodiment because the work is not just about bodily sensation, but about how people regulate, act, relate and change.
That is fine.
This course is designed as a first step.
You do not need years of prior experience.
This is probably not the right fit.
The point of the course is live learning and practice. That is a big part of why it works.
You’re welcome to sign up to watch in your own time, but you likely won’t get as much out of it.
That is what Embodiment Coaching Essentials is for.
