A few years ago I was exhausted and burnt-out from overwork. I pushed through on caffeine, snapped at loved-ones, got sick for the first time and collapsed into bed at night thinking, “Is this it?”
Now I coped, but I wasn’t thriving, wasn’t happy and really approached a line that could have led to very serious health issues.
I hit a wall – physically, mentally and emotionally. Trauma, grief, and just the nature of modern life had taken their toll. My dad died of a heart attack and I remember thinking I didn’t want to go out that way just yet.
So eventually, I adapted what I knew from embodiment and nervous system health studies, and got myself together. With help from friends and colleagues like Helen – nobody does it alone – I found a gentler, more forgiving way to practice.
There are no quick fixes or “magic bullets”, but things really can improve!
Now that I’m healthier, happier and more vibrant, I want to share this approach with others. If your body’s whispering “enough,” is it time to nourish yourself? Life isn’t something to just cope with, burnout is no joke, and a healthier life is possible.
Helen and I created Embodied Flourishing because we know what it’s like to feel stuck in survival mode… AND what it takes to move beyond it. These days it seems like everyone is in need of some gentle, nourishing practice too, as we live in a burnt out society.
This is for people who want to feel healthy, purposeful, and more like themselves again. No hype. No pressure. Just simple tools, community support, and a more sustainable way forward.
If that’s what you’re looking for, this might be for you…
Go beyond quick fixes for burnout or health struggles with a journey that empowers you to feel genuinely alive again. No more pushing through day after day. It includes:
Carefully paced explorations to foster a deep-rooted sense of wellbeing.
Practical tools to sustain health, calm, and meaning during life’s messy moments.
Ongoing community support to share experiences, receive feedback, and grow alongside others who “get it.”
If you’re ready to start truly enjoying life, Embodied Flourishing might be for you.
We’ve found that long-term practice in a supportive community is what leads to lasting transformation. There are no “magic bullets” or quick fixes. That’s why Helen and I created Embodied Flourishing, an ongoing program where you:
Access fresh “journeys” (short courses) at an affordable price every two months.
Enjoy sustained community support by practising alongside like-minded people for motivation, feedback, and encouragement.
Drop-in when you like so that there’s no pressure and you can’t fall “behind” – come weekly, monthly, or just listen to recordings whilst going for a walk.
The first four months focus on nervous system health through different lenses before moving onto boundaries, trauma superpowers, abundance, and leadership to help you to truly flourish in all areas.
In the future we also delve deeper into embodied spirituality, resilience, relationships, mental health, lifestyle, and meditation.
We have fresh content planned for two years, but you can cancel anytime if it’s not a fit.
We’re live every Thursday at 5pm UK time, which is 6pm CET, 12pm EDT, 9am PDT or 2am AEST.
Convert to your timezone here>>>
However, these live calls are optional and there for when you need extra support. Come as often or as little as you like, and feel free to simply listen along when going for a walk. There’s no required screen time.
You’ll also have access to recordings if you prefer to watch in your own time. If you can’t come live at all, it’s also possible to simply get recordings access.

Mark Walsh teaches embodiment, trauma education and resilience.
He is the author of Embodiment, The Body in Training and Coaching, Embodied Meditation and People Un-Pleasing.
He hosts The Embodiment Coaching Podcast (2 million+ downloads), and led The Embodiment Conference (1000 teachers, 500,000 delegates). Seeing a theme yet?
He co-founded the Embodied Facilitator Course, and the online Certificate of Embodiment Coaching Course. He has certified over 2000 embodiment coaches, and taught workshops in over 40 countries.
Mark gained an honours in psychology, despite been an alcoholic at the time.
He has taught widely in the corporate world where he pretended to be a grown up for years, including with blue-chip companies (e.g. Google, Unilever, Shell, Axa, L’Oreal).
He has worked in war zones (including founding a trauma education charity in Ukraine), and entertained over 50,000 children.
Mark has headlined International Coach Federation events, lived with the circus and in slums, taught celebrities, and kissed a princess.
He's an aikido black belt, and also has 28 years of experience of other martial arts, with yoga, bodywork, improv comedy, conscious dance and meditation.
Embodiment is his obsession, life’s work, and frankly at this point he couldn’t get a job doing anything else.
Mark dances like your dad at a wedding, impresses cats with his stroking, and offends pirates with his swearing.
He is now tired of writing in the third person. It’s getting weird.
Founder of Embodiment Unlimited
After a career as a doctor within the National Health Service, spanning 25 years, Helen retired as consultant psychiatrist due to health challenges in 2017.
Initially she found herself floundering in a new existence, with illness, pain and fatigue, and little idea how to help herself.
Having practised yoga on and off since the age of 16, she completed her teacher training and a array of other courses, including Spiritual Coaching, with Caroline Shola Arewa and Embodiment Coaching, with Embodiment Unlimited.
Helen's Yoga training was completed with Yoga Alliance International directly with Swami Vidyanand, and also with YogaCourse, YogaRenew. She deepened her training by working with Kristine Weber of Subtle Yoga since around 2018.
As a life-long learner, Helen has and continues to complete an array of other trainings.
Since retirement she's channelled her passion into holistic wellness: yoga, embodiment, building wellness and resilience.
She particularly likes working with people with persistent health issues, pain and fatigue.
Helen also supports people with stress, overwhelm and burnout (they are often the same people!)
She offers a blend of yoga, meditation, education, and embodiment exploration practices designed to promote wellness and resilience.
Sessions are crafted to be slow and mindful, fostering a deep connection within.
Whether you're new to yoga or have long standing experience, these practices are accessible.
Practices are all about developing your 'nervous system resilience'

“Many of us have a shelf full of self-help books or half-finished courses gathering dust. When life gets chaotic, and it’s tough to stick with anything… especially when deep transformation takes time.
So we soldier on and do our best. But if you’re near – or already at – burnout, grappling with health issues, or unsatisfying relationships, maybe it’s time for something different. This could be what you’re looking for. It’s structured yet gentle and supportive rather than sink-or-swim.
Embodied Flourishing unfolds at a pace that respects your life. We guide you step-by-step, month-to-month, giving you space to integrate new practices without adding more stress. Think of it as a gentle fix – the kind that actually works.
Let’s be honest: real healing and growth doesn’t happen overnight. Personally, it took me over a year to recover from burnout, and two years to truly flourish. Helen had a similar timeline for health problems and chronic fatigue. That might sound long, but you’ll also see noticeable changes in the first four months (our Meaning and Nervous System Health “journeys”), and you can cancel anytime if it’s not a fit.
The key? You can’t just think your way out of chronic stress, heartbreak, or health problems. Practice is essential. If you’re stuck in fight-or-flight or shutdown, deeper rewiring is needed. That’s what we focus on. We also circle back to your deeper ‘why,’ so motivation lasts beyond the initial buzz. A supportive group makes it so much easier, too, as most of us lose momentum alone.
Embodied Flourishing includes:
With all this, it’s genuinely great value. Compare it to a typical course fee, a regular yoga class, or even a daily coffee habit.
So whether you’re in a tough spot or just love lifelong learning, you’re welcome here.
Let’s have some fun and actually enjoy our lives again.”
Join now to receive over $3,798 in extra value:

If your body’s whispering “enough”, or you just want regular embodied practice, Embodied Flourishing might be for you.
Reclaim your energy, your purpose, and your body with a supportive path to genuine change.
These options give you options for different levels of budget and commitment.
All include weekly-call recordings, but if you can attend live, the community membership offers real-time support & accountability.
If you have questions, check out the FAQ below or email Virginia at support@embodimentunlimited.com to help you to decide if it’s a good fit.
*There is a recordings-only option available for those who won’t ever be able to attend live. Email Virginia for that, too.*
Sure – that’s what it’s mainly about. It’s not limited to those suffering for burnout or health problems.
Well, in some sense we live in a burnt-out society. Like the taste of our own mouth or smell of our own house, we often don’t realise until we’re removed from that situation (hey holidays!).
But even if you’re not, this will help you enjoy life more now and help you to avoid any problems down the road, too.
If you stay the full two years, you unlock lifetime access to the recordings (either through staying monthly for two years or paying up-front for two years).
Nothing! This is to serve you
Come live when it works for you.
If you miss sessions that you’d like to watch, simply catch up by watching the recordings.

Yes – Embodied Flourishing is designed to be flexible and supportive. In fact, it’s what we (Mark and Helen) wish we had when we were going through similar things.
We offer short, gentle practices you can adapt daily, even if you’re dealing with fatigue or health struggles.
No: We welcome all backgrounds and faiths.
While we discuss meaning and spiritual angles, there’s no single dogma. You choose what works for you.
No: This is an educational program, not a substitute for professional medical care.
We don’t diagnose or treat.
If you have serious trauma or health issues, we recommend external professional support.
Yes, with Care: We use a trauma-sensitive approach, but we’re not therapists.
If you’ve experienced significant trauma, please make sure you have the professional help you need, as embodied work goes deep, fast so can be triggering.
Mark (and Helen) value honesty and a bit of humour. Sometimes the jokes can be edgy.
If you believe in the concept of being offended, you may not enjoy this.
We respect everyone, but will joke about everyone, too
Yes: Our approach is practical, embodied and fun.
If you want to shag unicorns with your crystal chakra, you might not like our approach. However, if you find that image amusing, then you may not actually hate us
Generally No: You only retain access while you’re a paying member (like a gym).
However, if you complete the full two-year journey, either monthly or by paying up-front, you’ll get bonus lifetime access to the recordings as a bonus.
Everywhere: Parenting, relationships, deadline stress, daily annoyances.
The goal is to make deep, embodied shifts second nature in daily life.
No: This is personal learning, not a coaching certification.
If you want to teach these tools, you may like our Certification of Embodiment Coaching (CEC).
Sure, but… The membership is aimed at your personal transformation.
You might integrate the insights with your own style, but you’re not officially certified to coach them, and ethically, we generally recommend not doing so.
Compared to burnout, the toll of unhandled stress (medical bills, lost productivity) can be far higher.
You’ll also likely go to another level in whatever you currently do, so we hope this will more than pay for itself over time.
No: Live attendance is great for community Q&A, but we don’t track attendance. Replays and flexible scheduling make it doable for most.
No problem – email Virginia on support@embodimentunlimited.com. We’d rather clear things up than have you miss a chance to flourish with us.
If you have a question that’s not answered in the FAQs above, email Virginia at support@embodimentunlimited.com
