A workshop combining guided tripping with embodiment tools
Combine guided tripping with embodiment tools
Early-bird ends:
There are different ways to explore embodiment deeply. This one is REAL different, and will be very deep.
This workshop will explore the body through an entirely different lens. You’ll experience altered states, with adequate time to ensure great “set and setting”, in a place where it’s legal to do so (Amsterdam).
You will be well-supervised, with one member of the team per four participants. I’ve had a fairly intensive experience of psychedelics since I was a teenager, and my good friend Miriam is a professional in the field of guided tripping in Amsterdam.
This really is a special event. It is only suitable for people with good mental health, and people who have already processed any trauma they’ve had.
It is suitable for people new to psychedelics, as doses will match experience.
Note that this isn’t a psychotherapeutic event. You should not be suffering from recent grief, burnout or mental health problems if you’d like to attend. While it will likely be a lot of fun at times for most, this experience is about insight, and could be challenging.
The first day will be to get deeply into your body and “warm up.” Day two will feature the guided tripping experience. It’ll finish with a whole day to debrief. This structure will allow you to take learnings from a peak experience into the rest of your life.
CEO and Founder, Embodiment Unlimited
“Mr Embodiment” (Mark Walsh) is the author of Embodiment, Working with the Body in Training and Coaching, and Embodied Meditation.
He hosts The Embodiment Podcast (1 million+ downloads), The Embodiment Channel on YouTube (over 15M views), and led The Embodiment Conference (1000 teachers, 500,000 delegates). Seeing a theme yet?
He co-founded the Embodied Facilitator Course, and the online Certificate of Embodiment Coaching. He has certified over 1000 embodiment coaches.
Mark gained an honours in psychology (despite been an alcoholic at the time), and has taught widely in the corporate world where he pretended to be a grown up for years, including with blue-chip companies (e.g. Google, Unilever, Shell, Axa, L’Oreal) some of whom he charged wayyyy too much as they made him wear a suit.
Mark has over 25 years of experience of extensive embodied practice. This includes several years of residential live-in aikido training, experience in a bunch of other martial arts, loads of yoga, bodywork, improv comedy, body therapy, conscious dance, experiential anatomy and meditation.
He has also triggered… sorry, taught… many yogis, NGOs, police officers, The NHS and several militaries (e.g. in Sierra Leone).
Mark has taught in over 40 countries (most of which will even let him back in), worked in various war zones, and taught over 50,000 children. He has headlined International Coach Federation events, taught at universities, in The House of Lords, lived with the circus in Ethiopia, founded the Sane Ukraine trauma education charity, and kissed a princess.
Embodiment is his obsession, life’s work, and frankly at this point he couldn’t get a job doing anything else. He dances like your dad at a wedding, impresses cats with his stroking, and offends pirates with his swearing.
He is now tired of writing in the third person. It’s getting weird. You get the point.
Psychedelic Trip Guide
After teaching, coaching and facilitating long-term change processes in higher education, I burnt out eight years ago.
My embodied, connective and psychedelic practices, along with high dose injections of self-compassion, facilitated my shift into now supporting fellow recovering perfectionists that want to unstick their life. They tend to become kinder to themselves; feel less stressed, doubtful and apologetic; and more alive, effective and happy.
My company Guided Tripping now boasts a wonderful team, and I am a board member of the Dutch professional association for psychedelic facilitators: Guild of Guides.
